Hednesford Community Hub

The largest Station Adoption Group in the West Midlands region have a powerful vision to install a modernised vintage railway carriage on unused land adjacent to Hednesford railway station.

 

The fully restored BR railway carriage and coal wagon will be sited on a section of track located alongside the town centre Anglesey Street Car Park and will provide a community hub and gardens with accessible facilities and Incredible Edible planting.

 

Alongside the creation of a powerful visitor attraction for the town, the renovated carriage will also function as community space for town residents and rail users, providing stunning accommodation for community groups, book clubs, social tea parties and myriad local gatherings.
